With Coca-Cola being one of the biggest brands in the world, it’s no surprise that they are being linked to the Mandela Effect. Many people, including myself, have a strong memory that the Coca-Cola logo used to be different.
Most brands change and edit their logo design over time so maybe we are just remembering an old design. Unfortunately, that is not the case. There is no record of the logo how we remember it.
Have a look at these three logo designs and decide which one you think is the right one.
The logo design being used by Coca-Cola is the first one.
Did you notice the difference between the three designs? If you look you will see a skewed or tilted square between the two words Coca and Cola. This is where the problem lies for people suffering from the Mandela Effect.
Many people seem to remember there being a wavy line between the two words. For these people it was never just a skewed square. So how is it possible for so many people to have the exact same memory when there isn’t any records of it ever being that way? Is it possible we are all wrong and we all have the same wrong memory? I’d like someone to tell me how that is possible. It’s such a small tiny detail of the logo but I can clearly see it in my minds eye.
I’ve done my research on Coca-Cola logos throughout the years to try and find the wavy line with no luck. I was also hoping to find something that could maybe explain why so many people remember the logo this way. Again, nothing.
For the 130 years that Coca-Cola has been around, they haven’t changed their logo that much which is surprising. Here is a list of all the designs I could find since Coca-Cola was introduced in 1886.
Even after all of this research, I am still convinced that the Coca-Cola logo used to have a wavy line between the two worlds. I know how crazy that sounds when there is no evidence to support my claim but I can’t explain it. Whenever I look at the first image with the three designs, the third design looks SO FAMILIAR to me.
A lot of people are talking about this online. There’s so many people who remember the wavy line too. There seems to be a 50/50 split on the people who remember a wavy line and the people who don’t. Check out this discussion on Reddit.com.
I’d like to hear what you have to say in the comments below. Do you think the pro-wavy line bunch are crazy? How do you remember the Coca-Cola logo? Do you know anyone else who remembers a wavy line?
